2. What data do we process?

Depending on our relationship with you, we may process the following data, among others:

surname and first name;
professional role;
school, organisation or company;
email address;
telephone number;
communication preferences;
data you voluntarily share with us through forms, email or contact moments.

When you use Edufy platforms, additional data that is necessary for the service may be processed. For Edufy Pro, this may include, for example, name, email address, course progress and certificates obtained.

3. Why do we process your data?

We process personal data for the following purposes:

to make contact following a question or request;
to inform you about our products, services, events and training;
to send newsletters and relevant updates;
to maintain professional relationships within education and the Microsoft ecosystem;
to deliver and improve our services;
to comply with legal obligations.

4. On what legal basis do we process your data?

We process personal data on the basis of one or more of the following legal grounds:

your consent;
the performance of an agreement;
legal obligations;
our legitimate interest in maintaining professional contacts and sharing relevant information about our services and activities.

If we send email communication on the basis of an existing professional relationship, this may be done on the grounds of our legitimate interest, with respect for the applicable regulations.

We never sell your personal data to third parties.

Where necessary for our services, data may be shared with carefully selected service providers, such as:

Microsoft 365;
cloud and hosting services;
mailing and communication platforms;
professional partners involved in the delivery of our services.

These parties process data solely on behalf of Edufy and under appropriate contractual safeguards.

6. How long do we keep your data?

We do not keep personal data longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or for as long as the law requires.

Data of professional contacts is periodically reviewed and deleted when it is no longer relevant to the relationship or service.

have data erased;
restrict processing;
object to processing for direct marketing;
withdraw your consent;
request data portability where legally applicable.

When you receive newsletters or other commercial communication from us, you can unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us.

We respect your choice immediately and free of charge.

Edufy takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure.

If you have a complaint about the processing of your personal data, we ask you to contact us first so that we can look for a solution together.

You also always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (in Belgium: the Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit, GBA).
